I got into a 5 minute argument with this guy who claimed that he could park in the bike lane because there was a No Parking from 6AM-6PM sign here (see photo 1). Yes, that sign shouldn't be there, but no, that does not give him the right to park there. According to the the guy, the sign was put there a few weeks ago. But the bike lane came afterwards. Either way, his excuse is bogus. If there was a a No Parking from 6AM-6PM sign in front of a fire hydrant, could he park there? No.
Parking and driving in bike lanes has been illegal for 30 years and drivers still don't get it, do they?
I'll call 311 or CB2 tomorrow and see if I can get that sign removed.
